I'll be there for you...

CNN.com - 'Friends' cast says farewell - Jan. 24, 2004

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- They won't be there for us anymore.

The enduring comedy "Friends," with the theme song that promises "I'll be there for you," wrapped its final episode Friday night in front of an invitation-only audience on a set veiled in secrecy, all part of a plan to avoid spoiling the surprise ending for fans.
I'm going to miss Friends. My only complaint is that Pheobe won't end up with Joey. I'm all for Matt LeBlanc getting a spin-off, but I thought the premise was for each girl to eventually end up with each guy. They announced it before hand, and that pretty much give away the ending. I guess Paul Rudd makes up for it. Only a little bit, though. I'm still peeved at that. I thought the last season would be to bring Phoebe and Joey together. Come on. Ross and Rachel. Monica and Chandler. Phoebe and Mike??!!! (No disrespect toward Paul Rudd whom I adored in Clueless) That's my only beef with the way it's ending.

I shall just have to relive their glory days on syndication.
