Lip Balm Use Can Become Addictive
Lip Balm Use Can Become Addictive. This is ME! I must have a Natural Ice with me all the time. I carry it around more than I carry my phone. So far Drugstore.com is the only place I can find that sells it. Somehow, Wal-Mart and Kroger stopped selling it. I love it better than the crappy Chapstick brand that felt like I was putting heavy wax on my lips.

Bic Crystal Gel
Life keeps getting better. Look what I found! Lately, after my pen hunt, I've been hoping for an improvement to my favorite pens ever, Bic Crystal Ballpoint pens. And today, I've found it. Check out the new Crystal GEL pens!
Edit: I really don't like it as much as the regular ballpoint pens. The ink is too runny and thick. I'm just not used to a gel bic pen I guess. On that front, I'm going to be sticking to the ballpoint (the best ever pen).

Stationery Binge
I've been scouring around my college bookstores and convenience stores for new pens for my new Moleskine.
So far I've got a Uni-ball Signo RT and Gelstick 0.7 and a Pilot G-2 0.7. I think these pens all are averaging about $2, which, compared to my regular bic ballpoint pens, are a huge step up for me.
Oh, and I bought a UHU glue stick for all the wonderful collages I’ll be doing.
I'm trying to get a 2006 Daily Moleskine diary after all if it doesn't cost me a bunch.
I'm going on a stationery binge. Watch me.

A Moleskine for me
My brand new Moleskine arrived tonight. What a surprise! I thought it was going to be delivered in April/May along with the 2007 Pocket Diary I too ordered.
It's a large Rule Notebook.
I guess I'm going to stop looking for the 2006 Pocket Diary on Ebay. Too expensive for me even though I think I overpaid for the 2007 version, but at least I know I'm going to get on before they sell out. I'm going to use my ruled notebook as a substitute for the 2006.
It's smaller than I thought even though I brought out the ruler to find out how big 5 x 8 1/4" was. I've always thought that it should be larger, but now that I have it in my hands, it's a nice size. Fits nicely into my hands. And this is the large. I can't wait to hold the Pocket Diary.
Now I'm researching the types of pens that are worthy of writing in my Moleskine. I found my old Sakura Gelly Roll pens and my Uniball Vision/Eye too. They are my two favorite groups of pens. I wonder if there's an archival, acid-free version of the black ballpoint bic pens that are my absolute favorite? That's what I'd like to find if possible.

The only thing saving me from insanity
Bordeaux, my sweet, sweet cookies. Thank you for saving me from procrastinator hell. I'm engulf in tests and readings that should have been done ages ago. Instead, my spend all that time reading and reading, but of course, it wasn't class related, and so it doesn't count as studying. Hmm. Tasting the sugary sweetness is releasing me from procrastinating hell.
Anyways, I'd figure if this isn't working, I'm going to get high on my 16 RAINBOW COLORED SHARPIES!!! That should do the trick. I truly believe that SHARPIES carry within them the ability to turn any normal kid cuckoo whilst using one to carry out normal stationery duties. You don't even have to sniff them. Just open and the cap and the magic will flow through you. Plus, you can draw pretty pictures with SHARPIES. See, it's magic. I tell ya.

My favorite Calvin and Hobbes quotations
Reality continues to ruin my life.
I'm learning real skills that I can apply throughout the rest of my life...procrastinating and rationalizing.
I'm not dumb. I just have a command of thoroughly useless information.
Calvin: You can't just turn on creativity like a faucet. You have to be in the right mood.
Hobbes: What mood is that?
Calvin: Last-minute panic.
Why isn't my life like a situation comedy? Why don't I have a bunch of friends with nothing better to do but drop by and instigate wacky adventures? Why aren't my conversations peppered with spontaneous witticisms? Why don't my friends demonstrate heartfelt concern for my well being when I have problems?...I gotta get my life some writers.
Miss Wormwood: What state do you live in?
Calvin: Denial.
In my opinion, television validates existence.
Now, a lifetime of experience has left me bitter and cynical.
It's not denial. I'm just selective about the reality I accept.
I've got to start listening to those quiet, nagging doubts.
It's that moment of dawning comprehension I live for.
I liked things better when I didn't understand them.

I've seen Vera Wang's collection, and it is good. I especially like this dress. I'm a sucker for black dresses.
You can also check out past collections at the website. I love, love, love Carolina Herrera's Spring 2004 RTW collection.
And if you're anything like me, you'll spend hours dreaming of wearing clothes you can't ever possibly afford. So go check out the site. It's the closest I'll ever get to them clothes.
Some other collections to check out:
Lela Rose | Bill Blass | Luca Luca

games that rock...(or something like that)
Some of my favs...
Dynasty Warrior 4: Greatness on PS2. Like all things great, I start off hating them, but I've grown to appreciate their value, eventually. You can waste hours on this like I've done. It's so good. I don't have wide array of gaming vocab the cool kids use, but people and more people, you must play this game. It has ninjas and pirates (see the OC). And they fight each other in different scenarios. And you can play for different dynasties. And...it's really cool. And...I don't know how else to convey my love for this game. So...I'll stop now. I'll just add this. It's so good that even Seth was playing it on the OC. That's right. Seth Cohen, undisputed king of emo geeks. And he was playing DW4. What an endorsement. Now you become a believer too. Ok.
Solitaire. Come on! It's a classic. No one can deny how great it is. I've wasted many an hour playing this. It's not easy, though. You need some skills to play this game.
Monopoly. It's a board game, this is, and a totally classic. The best board game ever. Well...one of the best. You can't go wrong with the reds. Get the reds, the railroads, and the iron, and you've got yourself a pretty good start. And put 500 on free parking--you'll have more fun that way.
Rollercoaster Tycoon 2. I don't care what anybody says, but I love this game. Addictive. So addictive. Plus, you get to see little people running around with their hands between their legs because they need to pee real bad. Or you'll get to see them puke. And they could even drown or die in massive coaster crashes. Much fun to be had.

I'll be there for you...

CNN.com - 'Friends' cast says farewell - Jan. 24, 2004I'm going to miss Friends. My only complaint is that Pheobe won't end up with Joey. I'm all for Matt LeBlanc getting a spin-off, but I thought the premise was for each girl to eventually end up with each guy. They announced it before hand, and that pretty much give away the ending. I guess Paul Rudd makes up for it. Only a little bit, though. I'm still peeved at that. I thought the last season would be to bring Phoebe and Joey together. Come on. Ross and Rachel. Monica and Chandler. Phoebe and Mike??!!! (No disrespect toward Paul Rudd whom I adored in Clueless) That's my only beef with the way it's ending.
LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- They won't be there for us anymore.
The enduring comedy "Friends," with the theme song that promises "I'll be there for you," wrapped its final episode Friday night in front of an invitation-only audience on a set veiled in secrecy, all part of a plan to avoid spoiling the surprise ending for fans.
I shall just have to relive their glory days on syndication.

Oy, with the poodles already!
My birthday present: Gilmore Girls - The Complete First Season. Yay!However, I really should find a quotation from the first season I like. I'm not sure if "Oy, with the poodles already!" is from the first season.
Great Gilmore Girls website for quotations or transcripts.

a few good movies
I love A Few Good Men. Every time I see this movie listed, I'm happy excited. This is one of the few movies that I can watch over and over again. Jack Nicholson is awesome.
There's another movie that I remember watching again and again. It was an 80s movie, I think [I just googled, and the movie came out in '92]. Oh, the name just now slipped out of my mind. Toepick, maybe? Well, it starred D.B. Sweeney and Moira Kelly. He was an injured hockey player and she was a figure skating. They teamed up and fell in love. I remember having my dad check the movie. Great stuff. Oh, now I remember: (The) Cutting Edge, I believe. It was a romantic comedy, and because I was a teen, I totally feel in love with the movie. I think it was a tear-jerker also. Gosh, does that bring back memories.
These two became instant classics for me. Although I don't watch The Cutting Edge anymore, it became another sight, another sound of my past.
Tom Cruise: I want the truth! Also, there are a lot of actors, famous, successful actors now, that appeared in AFGM. They were so young in that movie, and it's nice to see how far they have come in their careers since then.
Jack Nicholson: You can't handle the truth!

eat some spinach and grow strong like Popeye

Yippeee...I'm glad my childhood cartoons are resurfacing. It gives me a good feeling inside when people are still celebrating the things/events that made me happy as a child. So now, at least, I don't feel like my childhood was a waste.
Come on. Popeye just pure rocks. Don't forget Olive Oyl, Sweet'Pea, and Brutus.
So he turns 75 this year. Totally awesome.

The O.C.
Agghhhwwww....the sweetness that is The OC is returning. The misadventures of the Cohen clan is back. Someone mentioned that the title is an acronym for The Oh Crap, and initially, I agreed. Sucky ass teen soap about rich kids living in L.A. Ooohhh...how original. And once again, I was wrong. I now love, adore, and worship this show. Adam Brody (who I'll always fondly remember as Dave on Gilmore Girls) is insanely sweet as Seth Cohen.
Yes. It's a teen soap. Call it that if you like. But the characters are believable, yet lovable, and the writing is top notch.
It's coming back from hiatus and I'll be glued to my TV.

The Ninjas are BACK!
The most amazing thing happened. I was transported back into my childhood when I saw THE TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES on TV again. It's about time. But I think this is the NEW AND IMPROVE version. What's with their eyes? Before the turtles were lovable creatures and now they have turned into dark and mysterious (and kinda creepy) super heroes. Plus, now April is a brunette. Ohhh...I get it. I've only seen one episode and not in it's entirety either, but I hope they still are still their-pizza-loving-self.
*Because the turtles are named after some of the greatest artists of the Italian Renaissance (I'm not sure about Donatello; doesn't reading that conjure up weird images? "Turtles" and "greatest artists of the Italian Renaissance."), it only makes sense that they would like pizza. Right? Came up with that all by myself :)
Plus, I loved their old theme song but all I can remember are the phrases if I remember correctly: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...So catchy, and ultimately, very effective! I was hooked, and I'm sure many young minds out there were too.Quotation of the Day:
Idealism is what precedes experience; cynicism is what follows.
