among other things, I (think I) got stung by a bee

I found out that Ronald Reagan died a couple of days after I arrived. How sad. They showed a little snippet here on the news. I miss a lot while here. That's the downside. Two years ago, I totally missed out on the phenomenon that was American Idol. Maybe that's why I have no interest in AI.

I got stung be a bee. It got me at the back of my leg, near the knee. I thought I'd die, but I guess it doesn't happen that way. I guess you only die if you have an allergic reaction to bees and other such animals.

It's on my right leg. This is a monumental event in my life. At age 20, a bee stung me. All I have left is a scab from scratching the bite area. I felt a little hairy something there when I felt a tiny pain. I used my hand to push it away. I knew it was probably a bee because they were buzzing around some fruits. I looked down for the needle thing, but there was only a small, red spot there. It wasn't a couple of minutes later that the real pain started. Short, sharp pain. WOW.

bee sting?Another bee (I think) stung me in the dark while I was watching a Euro football game--Italy v. Denmark. This time, twice. One on my left leg, the other on my finger. I used my right hand to quickly find out what the pain on my left leg was, and that was how I got stung a second time.

All I know is that it was painful and scarier because I could see what stung me. See the picture I took.

Hello Euro 2004. The only time, it seems, that I watch any football (soccer) is here. Last time I was here (2 years ago), I got to watch the World Cup, and that was awesome. Football is huge here, especially English football. David Beckham is a mega star here. There is even news that Thailand wants to buy stock in Liverpool.

I'm watching it except the time difference may keep me from it. The first game is at 10/11pm. The second at 2/3am. Regardless, it's exciting. I love the passion of the fans. There's a reason why hooligans is a football term.

However, there's something I still don't understand: offside. I need to look it up now that google exists.

Also, I think I've narrowed down my interests somewhat. I know I need to study some sort of business/technical type subject as well. But my passion is all liberal arts, except for environmental related subjects. I also really want some type of writing intensive subject like English/Journalism. I'm still holding on to history.

The main sticking point is that I want to work around Asia/Thailand. If I do, base on classifies on newspapers, business, accounting, marketing, economics, engineering is the way to go. But if I do this, then I'd like to minor in a liberal arts subject.

Random snippets:
-- Sometime between then and now, it rained again.
-- I love Thai dubbed Chinese movies. They are the best.
-- The commercials are also awesome here.
-- All 4 One is here in Thailand. I love a couple of their songs. It's a surprise that I haven't heard from them in a long time.
-- Rich Thais have awesome, palacelike houses, or rather palaces themselves. It's excessive.
