Tennis. The men's double gold medal match was phenomenal. That's why I love tennis, and that's why doubles should get more respect.
The men's single gold double match was just as good mainly because I wanted to see if Nicolas Missau would just collapse on court. I'm sad that Mardy Fish didn't win gold, but he earned silver, and it's the biggest title of his career so far. Awesome.
Swimming. On the interview note, I now realize that Melissa Stark also interviewed Inge de Bruijn (go her!) and Pieter van den Hoogenband.
I'm sad that swimming is over. I can't see anymore of Aaron Piersol or Michael Phelps swim and the rest of the guys and gals of the USA Swim Team. They did a great job. I'll miss the rest of the international field as well.
Track & Field. I'm not as interested in this as swimming. But it's going to get coverage for the rest of the Olympics, so I should just enjoy the show.
Gymnastics. I'm going to miss Svetlana Khorkina, the "diva of gymnastics." That gal has heart and ATTITUDE.
The whole thing with Paul Hamm is a mess. It was phenomenal how he came back to "win." I just wish he had won without any judging error. I can't imagine how he feels knowing that he would have won the silver if not for the scoring error. I hope it all works out, and I'm not really into the idea of the double gold, but I'm bias: I want Paul Hamm to win outright.
So I'm turning some of my attention to volleyball, both indoors and outdoors. I'll be rooting for the USA gals and guys.
