Republican National Convention. I've never watched Hardball before this afternoon on MSNBC. I've only seen it through the eyes of SNL skits. But I'm enjoying Chris Matthews. I can see why SNL spoofed him.
A lot of talk from Matthews about Zell Miller addressing the crowd as a keynote speaker. Is he a "zell-out?" Why doesn't he just switch parties? Why? I've got no idea, really.
Zell Miller. Theme: Family and trusting his family in the hands of President Bush. Tone: Fiery, forceful, passionate, appealing to our emotions (I think there is a Greek term for that, but I can't remember right now.)
Dick Cheney. Theme: John Kerry sucks. Vote for Bush instead. (4 more years!) Bush doesn't suck in the least bit. (ok, I've gotten carried away.) Tone: Calm, commanding, appealing to our logic rather than our emotions (again, there is a proper Greek term used in place of "logic.")
**The interview between Zell Miller and Chris Matthews after Miller gave his speech was. . .um, awkward, but definitely funny! It got to the point where Miller whished he lived in an age where duels still existed. I can't do justice to their converstaion, if you could even call it that. Their exchange has to make the news. Please, somebody write about it. I want a transcript.**
Hawaii. Haven't seen the show. Only caught 2 secs of it. But all I know is that Hawaii is so pretty. I want to visit Hawaii and take a million pictures.
Watch out for the Monk Memorial Day Marathon. Say your last goodbyes to Sharona. She will be missed.
Tennis. The US Open's just begun, so enjoy some exciting tennis.
