ABC Family is having a Gilmore Girls marathon on Sunday Oct. 3 starting at 2/1 pm CST. See it from the beginning...again. At 7 pm CST, there's an exclusive interview with the cast.
On to other TV thoughts:
Joan of Arcadia 10-1-04. "I choose a life without you." -- Joan to Punk God. I like this. It's profound. For Joan to say that to God, nonetheless, shows a lot of guts, and hopefully, a clear, conscious decision. It is a clear, conscious decision to be able to stand up, and say loudly and clearly, "I choose a life without you." Imagine if women in abusive relationships would say that to their partners. It's a powerful statement because it shows awareness of your feelings and surroundings, and where you are headed. THe implecations are tremedous as well. It's simple words, but the implications are tremedous. It shows that it's possible to have a life without the person you thought you were going to spend it with if you are in romantic relationships. It could be your are saying good to to Cookies & Cream Ice cream because you're about to go in a diet. Whatever it is, the ability to say those words shows courage, and it must show an awareness for the future (what you would do without them or it) because it was you would uttered those words.
Imagaine how life would have turned out if people excercised their free will like Joan did, and chosed a life without ...you.
More to come...
