2nd day of the semester

Today was boring except for my Art History class, which I’m psyched for, and I meet two people. For me to meet TWO PEOPLE in such a short amount of time is like...Titanic being the biggest movie of all time or it'll be a miracle for the 3rd installment of Star Wars not to suck. At least I'll have someone to talk to in class. Anyway, I'm so psyched for this class. I wanted to take it. I think I might do a minor in Art History. I think it's better than Literature although that would be cool too.

Art History was my only class today. So the rest of the day was spent in the library looking up places and locating it on a map. After I got bored with that, I walked around looking for some magazines to read, but I don't think they have any. Boo. How can that be? Then I went to get something to eat. There's a pretty good selection. I'll probably go again to get something else.

Then I spent the rest of the time in my room. BORING. But I did get to watch some decent TV. Decent in the sense that I can actually see people on screen. Less noise and static. I'll probably have to mess with the antennae some more.

I realize how I can make more friends. Take more classes. Huh. I know it should have been obvious, but I need things explained to me. So next semester, I’ll have to take 5 full classes to maximize my chances of meeting someone. I'll worry about that later.

And I also notice that in all my classes so far, the desks have that arm rest on the right side. Left-handers out there know what I'm talking about. The tiny, itty, bitty 'arm rest' on the right side. That is totally discriminating for left-handers. We, as members of the left handed community, ARE DISADVANTAGED. Why can't that be grounds for discrimination? What happened to equal opportunity? I wonder if anyone has protested before because it is going to suck for the rest of the semester if I try to take notes on the 'arm rest' from hell. I don't know how right-handers do it on the 'arm rest' let alone someone like me who has to turn to their right to write anything down. What's the deal? Is it cheaper? I think the university needs to invest more in the gritty details of college life. Small things like this have a huge impact on a comfortable learning environment.
