I got a cell phone for New Years, and now I am getting strange "restricted" calls from a person who says nothing when I answer

I knew there was a reason why I didn't get a cell phone for the longest time. I could have gotten it at 16 like most teenagers whose parents are willing to shell out the money. Now I'm a twenty something who got the cell phone because her parents were willing to shell out the money. Same difference.

Yesterday, I received a "missed call" message on the phone from a number I didn't recognize. Then I got a phone call from the same phone number that I didn't recognize. I answered and all I heard was garbage. You know what, I was setting up my answering service and listened to 2 weird messages that was all a bunch of noise. NOISE. 2 LONG MESSAGES CONSISTING OF NOISE. What a waste of my time. I listened till the end because I thought there might have been a special reward for me for listening to NOISE for the entire message. I received nothing.

Now, a while ago, the phone rings. I answer, "Hello" in the standard telephone "Hello." Nothing. "Hello." Nothing again. What the HELL? Click. Ring...ring...ring. "Hello." "Hello." No answer.

This happened at least 3 times. It’s at least 3 times that I answer. I know who's calling because it says "restricted." See, I'm nice. That’s why you should never let me answer the phone when you know a telemarketer is calling because I feel bad and don't want to hang up on them, so I end up listen to them gabble on really quick before I say, "sorry, but no thanks." I'm a telemarketer's dream.

Back to the main story. I kept answering and saying "hello" hoping that the other person on the line would answer and say, "sorry, wrong number" or something. That's what I was hoping for. BECAUSE I DO NOT WANT A PHONE STALKER. NO WAY! Am I already getting one this soon? I have had the phone for only a WEEK. "Restricted" shows up for 2 more times, but I hang up. I'M NOT WILLING TO PLAY THIS GAME. Then I decide to just shut off the phone and charge it up.
