I also heard that the Thai government is considering limiting depictions of gays/lesbians/katoeys (transvestites) on TV. Quoting from The Nation, on Sunday June, 27, 2004: “You don’t have any say in the matter, but there will be fewer portrayals of homosexual behaviour on TV because the Culture Ministry is afraid they might cause ‘sexual deviance’ among youngsters.”
Very interesting and surprising because, from what I've seen, katoeys are everywhere in Thailand. There are many TV personalities that are katoeys. I don't know if katoeys are fully accepted, but they are more than certainly tolerated. I'd like to see the impact this makes on Thai society and the Thai entertainment industry in the future.

-- I woke up with a headache. I think I have a migraine type headache. Usually, my sight is blurred, my head aches, and I feel nauseated.
-- Alias made its way to Thailand this year. I believe it's still in the first season. All right! Sydney kicking butt in Thai. I'm more than impressed.
