Friday Five

If you...

1. ...owned a restaurant, what kind of food would you serve?
A fusion of Asian and European. I'd like to add Caribbean or the island foods because variety IS the spice of life. I'd like to decorate the restaurant in a very Asian style, with bamboo and such. Or I'd go for a small diner in a quintessentially New England town (hint: Luke's Diner).

2. ...owned a small store, what kind of merchandise would you sell?
I've always wanted to own a book store like Meg Ryan in You've Got Mail. A small, quaint bookstore. Or maybe a record store. Maybe a mixture of books and records. And I could have poetry readings and open mike nights. That would be awesome.

3. ...wrote a book, what genre would it be?
What genre? I don't know, but some of my favorite books are To Kill a Mockingbird, Life of Pi, and The Poisonwood Bible, so I want to follow in those authors steps. Grand, epic novels would be interesting. Possibly a historical fiction.

4. ...ran a school, what would you teach?
My favorite subjects in school are history, English, and the liberal arts. I'd like to teach in those areas. Maybe even humanities or Environmental Science. Oh, and how can I forget about art. Definitely art. And some course involving world affairs. Plus, I definitely make sure there's a band at the school. I'd lean more towards elementary education because who better to educate young, malleable minds than me, right?

5. ...recorded an album, what kind of music would be on it?
Maybe a mixture of pop and rock with definite blues and jazz influences. But I'd much rather play piano or drums on the albums, not that I could play either of these instruments anyway.
