Gilmore Girls. Wow. This week's was awesome. Finally, there is going to be some conclusion to will they or won't they story lines. I'm most excited at Lorelai catching Rory and Dean doing something they shouldn't be doing. Whatever that is. The previews don't really reveal all that much.
Angel. One more to go. (See: 'Angel' Ends With Fans in Mourning) I don't know how I feel about this episode. All of a sudden the Black Thorn group storyline appears. It's weird. Last week was all about Buffy. It's all very fragmented. I hope it's a two-hour finally because they can't possibly wrap up all the storylines in 1 hour, like Buffy did.
Troy. Wow. This looks so good, and I don't mean just about the actors. I keep having deja vu when I'm watching the previews for Troy because I'm realizing I've seen this story told before, on screen. I think one of the cable networks did a Troy a while ago. Maybe USA did that. I think Sienna Miller was Helen. I don't know what they called it. Maybe, Helen of Troy? I'm totally guessing. So, now I'll get to watch the big screen epic version.
I saw this documentary on A & E on Troy, both about the movie and the legend. Susan Saradon narrated, and it included interviews with actors from the movie. ETA: It's called The Passion of Helen.
Then I saw this thing on Discovery. They build a replica of the Trojan horse and tried to transport it along the same route it would have taken to the gates of Troy. To make the movement smoother, they greased the wooden planks with animal fat on which the horse sits. They actually succeed in transporting the horse to the place they wanted without major complications.
Then they wanted to see if a team of volunteer could hide inside the horse, silent and still, for about 12 hours. About 6 hours in, they abandoned the experiment because the volunteers were getting restless. But they concluded that it was possible if done with trained soldiers.
I also have to admit that I've never read The Iliad or Homer. I've read other classic works, but never those two.
Wonderfalls. I'm rewatching the new 'sodes, 6 and 7, and I'm thoroughly enjoying them, especially 7: Lovesick Ass. Eric and Jaye finally get together. The 'sodes can be downloaded from several places. This is a pretty fast download here: Torrents.co.uk
