The O.C.: The Safe Harbor

Considering how much I adored this show its first season, I’m disappointed to hear new ads about Marissa’s non existent sister ready to create new drama in Orange County. It’s, like, so gimmicky sounding. Has Josh run out of ideas? I think yes. Now that the four leads are supposedly moving on to other colleges, there needs to be a new bitch in town.

I’ve lost interest after the spectacular season one. It’s not the same show. I’m so bored by it now. Seth just doesn’t do it for me anymore. Everything excludes dullness.

Anyhoo, lets move on to my thoughts about this episode: The kids decide to campaign for Marissa to get back into Harbor so they could all graduate together. That’s what kids in Orange County do for their friends. After she shot that guy and all. I don’t know much about it since I lost interest, yawn, in this show a long time ago. Gosh, it used to be so cool and hip. But now I feel like it’s jumped the shark so many times, I’m over it. It’s lost all of its charm. It’s just like the whole idea of getting Marissa back seems so ridiculous, but what does my opinion matter.

Ok, less editorializing. I don’t know if public school in The O.C. is really all that different. And Johnny seems like Oliver of season 1 (?) but not so psycho. Just another plot device to drive apart her and Ryan. Lady Heather is smoothly moving from one dead rich guy to another. Lucky her!

God, I hate this show. It’s so stupid. I can’t believe they all care so much about Marissa. Marissa. She’s dead weight, and I won’t stop hating this show until they recognize her and her flaws: she a mess and makes stupid, self-destructive decisions.

I should be watching My Name is Earl.
